Terms of service
CoopGamesDB helps a group find a co-op game and keep track of what they want to play. These terms are the agreement for using the site. The privacy policy says what we do with personal data.
The service
The site is free. You can browse, use the picker, start a lobby, join a crew, and plan a game night without an account. An account keeps lists, follows games, and lets you submit or claim a game page.
We do not host, sell, or distribute games. A store link leaves this site and opens the store or the developer’s own page. We don’t control those sites, their prices, or whether a copy is available. Links pass through an address on this site so the visit can be counted; that count is not an affiliate programme, and we are not paid when you buy.
There is no advertising and there are no affiliate codes today. If we ever show a paid placement or an affiliate link, it will be labelled as such.
Accounts
You may create an account if you are 16 or older. One person, one account. You choose a username that isn’t reserved or already taken, and you keep the password to yourself. You confirm the email address before the account can be used.
You’re responsible for what happens with the account. Tell us at hello@coopgamesdb.com if you think someone else is using it. You can delete the account yourself in settings; what that removes is described in the privacy policy.
What you post
Profiles, crew names, notes, and game pages you submit are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them on the site for as long as the feature needs, and to remove them when you delete them or when they break these terms.
You only submit a game you have the right to list. Facts on a page should be ones you can stand behind; a page says where each fact comes from, and players can flag one that looks wrong.
Names, bios, crew names, and notes that other people see must stay friendly. Not allowed: hate or harassment, sexual content, threats, and spam or scams. The same rules are on help and contact. We remove what breaks them, and we may replace a username that does. We may refuse a game page or take one down.
Crews, game nights, and lobbies
A crew, a game night, or a lobby is for a group that wants to play together. Don’t use them to harass anyone, to collect addresses, or to pretend to be the site. People can join some of these without an account; don’t put someone else’s personal information in a name or a note.
Accuracy and availability
Game facts come from the sources named on each page, and from developers who manage their own page. We don’t promise that every fact is complete, that a price is still current when you reach the store, or that the site is up all the time. If something is wrong, use “Something wrong?” on the game’s page or write to us.
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a decision to buy a game, for a store’s own terms, or for time the site is unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that the law of the Netherlands does not allow us to limit.
These terms
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. The date at the top is the version in force. When we change them, we change that date. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply. Questions go to hello@coopgamesdb.com.
